After all the flying and traveling I’ve been doing around the states over the last couple of months, it was nice to stay in Florida for a change and hit one of my favorite spots down here – the Miami Metro Zoo. I hadn’t been there in four years and I had a few friends who wanted to go too, so the four of us headed out Saturday morning. The cool day couldn’t have been nicer as we strolled through all the different continental exhibits, checking out the exotic animals. I was particularly excited, as it was the first time I got to use my new camera since my other one died on my last trip to Connecticut. And I had a great time snapping away, especially at the giraffe-feeding exhibit, which was everyone’s favorite part. We could’ve fed them all day and were amazed at how gentle they were. We also got a big kick out of the otters, and they were in a particularly playful mood. Unfortunately, many of the other animals were not, and spent the day either sleeping or hiding behind a rock. Another lively bunch, though, were the adorable meerkats. I’ve been to a few zoos here and there, and this one has always been one of my favorites, and this fun outing confirmed that again.
I am so grateful to you for sharing all of your fun adventures. I might poke fun at you at times but I have become so much more whole by knowing you!!! I will feed your giraffe anytime and even your otter if Marie sings to us…Hope you know I am your forever friend…………..Supac
