Southeast Coast Trip – Day 12 (Virginia)

My friend C-Lo was driving over for a few days, so while I awaited her arrival, I went back to the Williamsburg course for one more fun round. I then met up with C-Lo at the Jamestown Settlement, where we explored Virginia’s first colony from 1607. We both guessed it’s been at least 35 years since either of us have been here. We also made our way over to the Historic Jamestowne area, the original site of the colony.

We next went down the road to historic Yorktown and the Yorktown Victory Center, where we were treated to miltary life back in the 1780’s. We also checked out the Yorkiown Battlefield, but the darkening skies kept from exploring it fully. With the threat of rain impending, we sought shelter and had a nice dinner at Nick’s Riverwalk Restaurant. And perfect timing too, as the heavy rains started to pour down.
