Southeast Coast Trip – Day 11 (Virginia)

After a good night’s sleep in my cozy bed, I was treated to a great breakfast by the innkeeper. I then took a few  photos of this 1865 historic house before I drove over to Mobjack Marina for my next lighthouse adventure. My original captain was not able to make it, but he was able to find me a great replacement in Captain Johnny with Mobjack Sailing. Johnny took me out in his boat to two lighthouses, the first one called Wolf Trap and very similar looking to the Thimble Shoals one from yesterday. We next sailed over to the New Point Comfort lighthouse, where we explored and climbed to the top of the abandoned light in the middle of the bay.

I then continued up north and played a couple rounds at the fun Newport News Park disc golf course and then two more rounds at the beautiful course at New Quarter Park in Williamsburg. I got a room at a nearby hotel and ended having dinner at Dudley’s Farmhouse Grille in Toana, where I had a scrumptious fish dinner called an Escolar.
